Alabama Donor Insemination Law
Alabama law is silent on the issue of donor insemination performed on an unmarried woman. There is no provision regarding the legal rights or obligations of a donor.
According to the law, the husband of a woman who undergoes artificial insemination is treated as the father of the resulting child. The statute requires the husband’s written consent and physician supervision for the procedure.
