Singer and songwriter Starley Hope is among the recent stars to join HRC’s Equality Rocks campaign.
“I believe in equality for all,” Hope said in an exclusive HRC video.
While Hope was touring in 2017, she fell in love with a woman and came out to her family as a member of the LGBTQ community. Her experience inspired her to write her song “Love Is Love” to promote inclusivity and acceptance. Hope previously said that “the song is basically about how I came out as bisexual last year."
“It wasn’t about me coming at my family and saying they’re wrong and they’re bad… I know that they love me and I would love for them to accept me and to accept others.”
HRC’s Equality Rocks campaign is sparking a conversation about love, fairness and equality around the globe. To join and learn more, visit www.hrc.org/EqualityRocks.
