HRC to Honor Pose’s Ryan Jamaal Swain with the Visibility Award at the 2020 HRC San Antonio Dinner

HRC announced that actor, dancer and singer Ryan Jamaal Swain will be honored with the HRC Visibility Award at the 2020 HRC San Antonio Dinner on Saturday, February 29.

Today, HRC announced that actor, dancer and singer Ryan Jamaal Swain will be honored with the HRC Visibility Award at the 2020 HRC San Antonio Dinner on Saturday, February 29 at the JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa. 

Ryan Jamaal Swain is best known for his role as Damon Richards-Evangelista, an ambitious aspiring gay dancer on the critically acclaimed and Golden Globe nominated FX television series Pose. Swain has been honored on Forbes “30 Under 30” 2019 List for his LGBTQ activism and on Paper Magazine as “100 People Taking Over 2019.” He’s also been featured in Vogue, Nylon, GQ, The New York Times, Flaunt Magazine and WWD. Swain recently made his Broadway debut in Choir Boy, directed by Academy Award winner Tarell Alvin McCraney. As a young activist, Swain lends his name as a Stonewall Ambassador to It Gets Better both in the U.S. and abroad.
