The Human Rights Campaign is excited to announce we will be offering a fully remote internship program during the fall 2020 semester.
Post submitted by Makaela Bournazian, HRC Internship Program Assistant
This is a wonderful opportunity for students to intern with us from across the country without moving to Washington, D.C.
It is sure to be an exciting experience to work alongside HRC during the critical election cycle.
For college students who are committed to making a difference in the lives of LGBTQ people, the HRC internship program provides an invaluable opportunity to work for the nation’s largest LGBTQ civil rights organization in pursuing our mission to ensure that everyone is embraced as full members of society — at home, at work and in every community.
Although the program will be remote, we are still offering many of the same educational opportunities. We will provide an exciting intern experience by offering an online educational “brown bag” series, which discusses topics ranging from the HIV and AIDS epidemic to government and policy and more. There will also be bi-weekly intern cohort check ins where everyone will get the opportunity to share what projects they are working on. In addition, we will go on a virtual field trip that is focused on LGBTQ and other civil rights issues.
All interns will be required to receive college/university credit to participate. We encourage a wide, talented pool of leaders — present and future — to join us. We strongly encourage people of color, transgender people and non-binary people to apply.
Apply now for an internship with HRC and help us make the world a more equal place for all. We are currently accepting applications for fall 2020. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until all positions are filled, so we encourage you to submit an application early. Apply today!
