WASHINGTON — Today, HRC Equality Votes PAC announced that powerhouse political strategist Guy Cecil will serve as Chief Strategist for its 2024 electoral efforts, managing a multimillion-dollar paid media budget to ensure a record-high 75 million Equality Voters send Joe Biden and Kamala Harris back to the White House and elect champions for LGBTQ+ rights up and down the ballot. Cecil is currently the President of Miles Strategies.

Ahead of Thursday’s presidential debate, HRC Equality Votes PAC also released its first digital ad of the 2024 cycle, “At His Word,” which uses Trump’s own statements to demonstrate how a second Trump term threatens all of our rights and would target the LGBTQ+ community’s ability to live as our authentic selves. The ad is the start of a seven-figure investment in digital ads the PAC will make to ensure Equality Voters–voters who prioritize LGBTQ+ inclusive policies when making decisions at the ballot box–understand the stark contrast between what a world with Biden as president looks like compared to Trumps’ white nationalist vision for America.

“Donald Trump isn’t hiding the ball–he’s promising out loud that a second Trump term would be devastating to the LGBTQ+ community and put all our hard-earned rights and freedoms at risk,” said Guy Cecil, Chief Strategist for the HRC Equality Votes PAC. “Between now and November, Equality Votes PAC will ensure the record-number of Equality Voters understand the existential threat Trump and MAGA politicians pose to our democracy and our very existence–and ensure they vote accordingly.”

Cecil is one of the lead political strategists in the Democratic party, most recently serving for eight years as Chairman of Priorities USA. His previous roles include Executive Director of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, Chief of Staff to U.S. Sen. Michael Bennet, and campaign manager for numerous statewide campaigns.

From now until November, the HRC Equality Votes PAC will work to mobilize 75 million Equality Voters by communicating what’s at stake for the LGBTQ+ community and the threats posed to our rights and freedoms by MAGA politicians.
