Michaela Jaé Rodriguez is a Golden Globe®-winning and Emmy®-nominated actress, singer, and activist. She is the first transgender woman to receive a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for her role as 'Blanca' on Pose; a role which won her the Golden Globe for Best Actress in 2022. Michaela Jaé is currently shooting the second season of Apple’s hit comedy Loot opposite Maya Rudolph. Michaela Jaé’s additional credits include Lin-Manuel Miranda's Academy-Award nominated Tick, Tick... Boom! for Netflix, the Award-winning Saturday Church, Netflix/Marvel's Luke Cage, Robin Thede's Emmy Award-winning comedy series A Black Lady Sketch Show for HBO and more. On stage, Michaela Jaé also starred as 'Amber' in the Pasadena Playhouse's “Little Shop of Horrors” opposite Tony nominee Kevin Chamberlin.

As an activist, she is a proud representative for the LGBTQ+ community, having received the Stephen F. Kolzak Award at the 2022 GLAAD Media Awards. Additionally, In June 2021 she released her debut single, “Something to Say'' via Access Records. Disco, R&B and Funk Tinged Pop, the single has Michaela calling on listeners to step into their truth and let their voices be heard.

LIVE, the 2023 HRC Los Angeles Dinner brings together HRC’s most active members and supporters in the greater Los Angeles area to raise crucial funds in the fight for LGBTQ equality.
