As Political World Converges on Chicago, Advocacy Organizations Share Their Key Messages: “We Show Up” and “We Decide”

CHICAGO — Leaning into the Human Rights Campaign’s election-season mantra — “We Show Up” — and Planned Parenthood Action Fund’s election battle cry — “We Decide” — LGBTQ+ advocates, influencers and allies converged Tuesday night at TAO Nightclub in Chicago to share joy, community and celebration as the Windy City this week is at the center of the political world.

Award-winning activist and actor Billy Porter was among the attendees and performers, captivating the audience with his trademark charisma and style, while drag performer Detox was the headlining queen.
