WASHINGTON – The Human Rights Campaign, the nation’s largest lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender civil rights organization, today announced that Vice President Joe Biden will deliver the keynote address at the organization’s 17th Annual National Dinner on Saturday, October 5, 2013 in Washington, D.C.
“Vice President Biden has been a champion of civil rights for his entire career, from his leadership on the Violence Against Women Act to his strong support for marriage equality,” said HRC President Chad Griffin. “As Senator and Vice President, his work to advance LGBT equality is just one chapter in a remarkable lifetime of service.”
The event, which is sold out and expected to draw 3,400 guests, will begin with receptions starting at 5:00 p.m. at the Washington Convention Center.
