MONTGOMERY— Today, HRC Alabama announced that Patricia Todd will become the organization’s new State Director. Continuing her tremendous work as a lifelong advocate for LGBT equality in Alabama, Todd, an elected state representative, will lead a talented team dedicated to changing hearts and minds, advancing enduring legal protections, and building more inclusive institutions for LGBT Alabamians.
“I am thrilled to have the opportunity to join HRC Alabama, and I look forward to leading its impactful work in the years ahead," said Representative Todd. "We will tirelessly and collaboratively pursue equality for LGBT Alabamians. The future of Alabama is bright and embracing all people for who they are. ”
"Representative Todd is a rare talent, a unique combination of intellect, leadership, and moxie," said Project One America interim director Hayden Mora. "She never takes no for an answer, and always strives to do the right thing for all Alabamians. We are elated to welcome Patricia to our staff."
HRC Alabama is working to advance equality for LGBT Alabamians who have no statewide protections in housing, workplace, or public accommodations; and legal state recognition for their relationships and families. Through HRC Alabama, we are working toward a future of fairness every day—changing hearts, minds and laws toward achieving full equality.
