Rep. Scott Peters (D-CA) offered an amendment to the FY 2016 Transportation, Housing and Urban Development, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act (H.R. 2577) to prohibit LGBTQ discrimination by federal contractors in the Departments of Transportation and Housing and Urban Development.
The House adopted the amendment on June 9, 2015, by a vote of 241-184 (Roll Call Vote No. 326, 1st session, 114th Congress). Democrats – 181 yes, 0 no, 1 present, 6 not voting; Republicans – 60 yes, 184 no, 1 not voting.
