The purpose of this grant program is to help local law enforcement agencies create and successfully launch a new LGBT Law Enforcement Liaison Program. The funding can be used to purchase materials, host a community event, or any other activity that will result in the creation and implementation of a new LGBT Law Enforcement Liaison Program. **Open application, rolling deadline; GRANT

Awards a $500 Law Enforcement Scholarship for individuals who identify as gay, lesbian, bi-sexual, or transgender and who are pursuing a career in law enforcement by attending a basic law enforcement training program.

We are particularly interested in funding grants to combat homophobia within law enforcement and build a relationship and trust between law enforcement and the LGBTQ+ community. Initiatives and programs that could meet these interests and that could be funded include speakers for conferences, developing LGBT awareness instructors, providing LGBT awareness training, developing LGBT liaison programs, and training LGBT liaison personnel. **Open application, rolling deadline; GRANT

Pacific or UoP, offers a scholarship to a gay and lesbian civil rights advocate open to at least a second year law student with demonstrated financial need who exhibits academic ability and leadership potential. Provides support to one or more students who are committed to using their legal education to extend and protect the civil rights of LGBTQ+ people. Demonstrated commitment to the furtherance of LGBTQ+ rights; at least a second year student in the fall semester; demonstrated academic ability; and financial need. **Deadline is first Friday of March each year

Dedicated to continuing Pedro’s legacy, the Pedro Zamora Young Leaders Scholarship supports the academic pursuits of young health and social justice activists working in their communities who carry Pedro’s torch forward. These young activists pursue a bold vision: never again will a community be harmed because of fear, silence, discrimination, stigma, or hate. The Pedro Zamora Young Leaders Scholarship strives for equity across all lines. From increasing scholarship offerings to HBCU and HSI recipients to expanding visibility for LGBTQ+ students, this scholarship strives to ensure that young activists from all walks of life have the opportunity to carry Pedro’s torch forward and make a difference in their communities.

Consideration for this award shall be given to full-time undergraduate students who are enrolled or planning to enroll at the University who have demonstrated advocacy for the LGBT community through their active involvement with the Center for Sexual and Gender Diversity. *Contact for updated forms: lgbtq@psu.edu

Nominations are sought for individuals at The Pennsylvania State University community who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in the areas of research, teaching, and/or academic course work; should preferably acknowledge meritorious faculty, staff and students whose academic achievements are LGBTQ-focused; but could also acknowledge the achievements of LGBTQ people in any area of research, teaching and student scholastic engagement. Self-nominations are accepted.

Provides recognition and financial assistance to outstanding undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll at Penn State who have demonstrated need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses and who advocate for or contribute to the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender (LGBT) community. Preference shall be given to students from New York State.
