We’ve seen unprecedented attacks against LGBTQ+ people across the country from extremist politicians. More than 80 anti-LGBTQ+ bills were signed into law in 2023, more than doubling 2022’s number, which was previously the worst year on record. Our community is living in a state of emergency, but we won't stop fighting back — not now, not ever.

From the wave of anti-trans legislation to attacks on civil rights from the highest court in the land, there’s a throughline that connects these challenges — and it’s where we can have the most long-term impact. Elections will decide whether we can defend and build on our progress — or whether our opponents can erase our rights and our community.

We must establish and protect pro-equality majorities in state legislatures. And defend our razor-thin pro-equality majority in the Senate, regain our pro-equality majority in the House and of course, help ensure we have an ally in the White House. Because if there’s one thing we’ve learned over the past few years, it’s this: Elections matter!

Together, we win — so let’s get to work.
